Marlene Smart was a nominee for the Central Valley Registerd Nursing Education Award.
West Hills own nominated for nursing award
Marleen Smart, West Hills College Lemoore nursing instructor, was one of five nominees for the Central Valley Registered Nursing Education award.
The award recognized nursing educators in the Central Valley. There were four categories of nurses recognized including administration, advanced practice, clinical practice and nursing education.
Marleen, a Corcoran native, became a RN in 1971. She has been teaching at West Hills for seven years. Marleen has also taught in the psych tech program at Porterville College and the nursing programs at Bakersfield College and Fresno City College.
