Cash for College Workshops
High school senior students who attend one of West Hills Colleges’ Cash for College Workshops will have the opportunity to participate in a $1,000 scholarship raffle by completing a brief survey at the end of the workshop and submitting their FAFSA and Cal Grant GPA Verification Form by the March 2nd deadline.
West Hills has announced the workshop dates which begin at the end of this month. The workshops serve to help students and their parents fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Cal Grant GPA Verification Form required for Cal Grants.
At the workshop, students will also sign up for a FAFSA pin number, which is used to sign the application electronically. Financial aid staff from West Hills will help students log into the FAFSA Web site and complete the application line by line.
If you are 23 years old, or younger, bring your parent(s) or guardian(s) — and their income and asset information listed below. If your parents can’t go with you to a workshop, you should go anyway and bring your parent's information. If you are a foster youth, or 24 years of age or older you can just bring your own income and asset information.
West Hills will host nine different workshops at five different communities. The dates and locations are listed below:
