Dr. Frank Gornick, chancellor of West Hills Community College District
Frank Gornick appointed to Accrediting Commission for Community Colleges
Dr. Frank Gornick, chancellor of the West Hills Community College District, has been appointed as a commissioner with the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, the agency that provides accreditation for two-year colleges in the western region of the United States.
Jack Pond, vice president of ACCJC, announced the appointment and said that Dr. Gornick has chaired three accreditation evaluation teams at other colleges and served on several others.
Dr. Gornick joined WHCCD in 1994 as superintendent/president and was named chancellor in 2001. Prior to joining West Hills, Dr. Gornick served for nine years as dean of student services at Bakersfield College.
