Congratulations to America Infante (formerly Planas) who recently completed her bachelor's degree in business management at Fresno Pacific University. America took advantage of our employee tuition assistance program to help with expenses. She reports that she's going to take a break before she starts a master's degree program since she's getting married in May 2008.
Truc turned 50 recently and we missed it in the last employee newsletter. Decorations are still up so if you feel like helping him celebrate, stop by the ITS stronghold on the campus of WHCC--with food if you really want to wish him well!
Health and biology instructor Joel Rogers and his wife welcomed a new daughter, Jenna Elizabeth, on April 6th. Baby Jenna weighed in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 inches long. Congratulations Joel.
Nancy Clover is beaming ear to ear with the birth of her first granddaughter, Ashley, who arrived March 19th. Nancy's daughter, Kim, and her husband, Mike Surber, are the proud parents.

Our condolences to Dr. Anthony Tricoli and his family on the loss of Dr. Tricoli's father, Sam Tricoli, who passed away on March 11th. Dr. Tricoli left WHCC last year and is now serving as president of Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta.
Another former employee has been in touch. Madonna Cardenas, formerly with our CDC staff and now living in Pomona, sent pictures of her daughter, Zoe, who was born last July. Watch out NASCAR!

Zoe is a popular name these days! Jill and Keith Stearns have a new puppy--you guessed it, Zoe! Way too cute.
Skipper Stoppenbrink was at the wheel of his sailboat on a recent cruise to Catalina when a school of dolphin joined alongside. Ken is preparing for a race to Ensenada soon. He'll keep us posted. Ensenada today, America's Cup tomorrow??
Priscilla Balcazar is very proud of her cousin, Veronica Garcia, who was recently published in the Harvard Educational Review. Veronica graduated from high school in Visalia, then graduated from UCLA and Harvard. Veronica worked for a nonprofit education foundation where she did her research while attending Harvard and she is now working as an English teacher in an East Los Angeles school.

Suzy Shirk's daughter, Kaity Rose Secrease, competed in her first
barrel race on Easter Sunday.
Here she is with her "Coach" Terri and on her horse with her first trophy!
