On Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at 4:45 a.m., Lupe Alvarado and her husband, Ivan, welcomed a healthy baby girl, Miranda.  She weighed 7lbs, 9 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Cliff Kozlowski was awarded a Medal of Honor

Cliff Kozlowski received a Medal of Valor from Governor at the Medal of Valor Award Ceremony.  On Dec. 14th, 2006, California Department of Mental Health employees Clifford Kozlowski and Stanley Streeter performed an act of heroism at risk to their personal safety when they rescued a trapped and drowning hospital police canine from a waste water treatment pond facility at Coalinga State Hospital.

Catching up on some old news…

Congratulations graduates 

A West Hills College Lemoore colleague celebrated a milestone in June 2007.  Congratulations to Dr. Marlon Hall, who received his EdD from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara.  Wow!  What an accomplishment.

Teresa Macias-Quilici, advising specialist at WHCL, graduated from Fresno State University on May 18, 2007.   

Janet Young, advising specialist at WHCL, graduated from Columbia on May 23, 2007 at the Naval Air Station. 

Sandy McGlothlin and her husband are shamelessly proud of their #1 son who graduated from CHS class of 2007 and is currently attending Fresno State University.  He is undecided on his major but entertaining the idea of anesthesiology.

Truc and Hang Nguyen are extremely proud of their daughter Viet Nguyen’s accomplishments.  Viet graduated from Centennial High School in Bakersfield, where she was valedictorian.  She is currently attending UC Riverside.
