Is it just me, or is this year coming to a fast end? We are now in November and I'm sure everyone is getting ready for Thanksgiving whether you will be spending time with friends and family in or out of town.

Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect and be thankful for all that you have in your life. It's a time to get together with the ones we love and eat a Thanksgiving meal. What better way to show your thanks this year than by helping local families in need.

In Coalinga, ASB/Trio will be having a fundraiser for Thanksgiving. They are accepting donations of turkeys, hams and canned goods. Canned goods can be dropped off at the library. For turkey or ham donations, contact ASB President Robert Wallace at (559) 934-2195 or Carolina Jimenez at (559) 934-2433. Donations will be accepted until November 25th. All donations will be given to local families.

In Lemoore, SGA and Lemoore Middle College High School are having canned food drives. SGA will be accepting canned food and nonperisable items for the Poverello House until November 30th. There are boxes in the administration building for both food drives. For more information about the Lemoore Middle College High School drive, contact Dr. Rosa at (559) 925-3552.
